TEI begins every search by understanding the client’s business, culture, market, and the specific needs of the role. With our approach, we ensure that the process is not just effective but also feels like a well-structured project that is coming soon to fruition. From there, we define the ideal candidate profile and align on what success looks like before the search begins. We may also help refine job descriptions and share candidate profiles or resumes to sharpen alignment early in the process, ensuring everything is not under construction but ready for execution.

Referrals Over Cold Candidates

Most of our placements come from referrals within our network—people who have worked directly with these individuals and can speak to their success, work habits, and character. We rely on long-standing relationships and an extensive referral network built over 10+ years of recruiting. In many cases, the recommendation from someone who knows the candidate well serves as the first layer of validation, with reference checks often reinforcing what we already understand. While our current network is strong, we also have initiatives coming soon that are under construction to broaden our reach. When we need to expand beyond our current relationships, we continue building our network through targeted outreach on social media and direct connections with other professionals, both in person and virtually.

With a 'retained' search, a company is contracting with a consultant to assist with the search, whether a new employee is hired or not. The fee is guaranteed, and during this process, our services are coming soon for those looking for new talent. 


With an 'engaged' model, most of the fee is paid after the search results in a new hire. Although our clients make the final decision, we guarantee our placements, ensuring that your hiring process is not under construction but rather seamless.
